Supporting Women Through Life’s Shifts: Two Decades of Trauma-Informed Counseling

Updated: Jul 1

ree

For over 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside women as they navigate the complexities of life — from evolving identities and relationships to managing anxiety and reclaiming self-worth. At Team Hutch Counseling, I offer virtual therapy for women in Michigan, providing a compassionate and grounded space to process what’s working, what’s not, and what’s next.

The Mental Load Is Real — And Often Invisible

Whether you’re caring for others, managing a demanding career, juggling multiple roles, or simply holding everything together, the emotional and cognitive demands placed on women can feel relentless. Many of my clients carry the weight of work stress, home responsibilities, emotional labor in relationships, and expectations that leave little room for rest or reflection.

Through trauma-informed care, we create space to step back, breathe, and reconnect with your sense of self — beyond the roles you fill.

What We Might Explore Together

Every woman’s story is unique. In our work together, you might want to focus on:

  • Relationships and boundaries — with partners, family, friends, or colleagues

  • Anxiety and chronic stress — from decision fatigue to racing thoughts

  • Life transitions — including divorce, career shifts, motherhood, or caregiving

  • Role identity — exploring who you are beyond labels and expectations

  • Work-life balance — and the myths we’re often told about having it “all”

  • Self-esteem and self-trust — rebuilding confidence and clarity

Whether you are in a season of change or just craving a place to reflect without pressure, this is a space where your voice matters.

Why Experience Matters

I began my career more than two decades ago working with women in crisis, and have since expanded my practice to support women across all stages of adulthood. My work has spanned higher education, health and wellbeing, counseling centers, and community spaces — always centered around care that is affirming, inclusive, and practical.

Virtual Counseling for Women in Michigan

I currently offer secure telehealth sessions throughout Michigan, along with self-pay support groups focused on topics such as anxiety, caregiving, and healthy relationships. Sessions are paced to your comfort and grounded in respect, transparency, and emotional safety.
